Gullfoss waterfall, two-tiered, glacial meltwater cascades down into the deep and narrow Hvitargljufur canyon. It drops a whopping 32 metres and creates quite a lot of spray that forms beautiful rainbows during sunny days





Geysir geothermal area, hissing steam vents and sulphurous mud pots. The Strokkur hot spring, the world's most reliable geyser, shooting hot water 20 metres into the air every 4-8 minutes


Kerio, volcanic crater formed when a large magma chamber collapsed
